There are many ways to make a difference through a fund at the Foundation.
Donor Advised Funds: With a donor-advised fund, you may periodically recommend grants to nonprofit organizations.
Scholarship Funds: Scholarships help remove the barriers that stand between deserving young people and the education they need to succeed.
Field of Interest Funds: You may specify a field of interest such as the arts, youth, education, the environment, even a particular neighborhood or town.
Designated Funds: Provide ongoing support to one or more charitable organizations.
Nonprofits Agency Endowed Funds: Many nonprofit organizations create endowments to establish ongoing, material sources of income. Funds to support day to day operations are generally the most challenging funds to attract; an endowment can be an important source of income, whether for operations or other uses. The Whatcom Community Foundation (Foundation) exists, in part, to manage funds permanently endowed by donors for the benefit of a specific charitable cause. In the case of agency endowments, that cause is the organization itself. WCF Endowment Fund Management
