New Project Neighborly Grants Focus on Building Connections and Trust
We believe that the best ideas and decisions come from groups of people with differing perspectives working together. The good news is that our community is filled with a wide range of experiences and viewpoints. Building bridges – and community – can be challenging and messy work. When it happens, it is exciting and infectious. That’s why we’re launching Project Neighborly, a new grant opportunity focused on supporting efforts to increase kindness and curiosity, and to build trust among the people who share this place. What better way to move past the politics and enter this season of gratitude than to focus our energies on being neighborly?
You are invited to share your best ideas for building connections and working together. Project Neighborly fuels efforts to increase kindness and curiosity, and build trust among the people who share this place. The Community Foundation will award grants (up to $5,000 each) to support inspiring, actionable, relevant projects and activities that develop a sense of community and promote neighborliness throughout the rural and urban areas of Whatcom County. Grant applications are due November 30th. We look forward to hearing your ideas!
