Beautiful New Ferndale Library Now Open

We are elated to announce that the new Ferndale Library opened to the public on October 29! The parking lot was packed all day long, and there were more than 3,000 items checked out that day. Congratulations to all of the partners and donors who worked so hard to make this project happen.

The visitors to the space were happy with what they saw.  “I love the open space. I like the windows and the natural lighting. I’m pretty impressed with the space here,” Ferndale resident Brian Richeson said as he stood inside the 15,150-square-foot building at 2125 Main St. in Ferndale.

The Grand Opening celebration for the library will take place on Saturday, November 15, beginning at 10am. Everyone is invited to attend and enjoy the welcoming new space.
Ferndale Lib board meeting

The Whatcom Community Foundation Board of Directors receives a tour of the new library on opening day. Our board meeting was also the first meeting held in the conference room.
